FixThinks is a small engineering practice that automates the small, repetitive computer tasks that quietly eat your team’s week.
The premise
A lot of “software” sold to small and mid-sized businesses is bloated, expensive, and tries to be everything. Meanwhile the actual problem — “Sara spends two hours every Monday copying numbers out of one tool and pasting them into another” — goes unsolved for years. We exist to solve that kind of problem, one job at a time, for a flat monthly fee.
The approach
- Boring tools first. A scheduled script and a single database column will outlive any framework, so we prefer them.
- AI where it earns its keep. Summaries, drafts, classification — that’s where LLMs save real time. Anything that has to be exact stays as plain code.
- Your stack, not ours. We connect to the tools you already pay for. We rarely ask you to migrate.
- Reversible by design. If you cancel, you keep everything that runs on your machines.
Who we are not
- We are not a SaaS platform with a 30-page settings page.
- We are not a 50-engineer consultancy that needs a six-month engagement.
- We are not in the business of selling you “AI strategy.”
